Medical shows and demonstrations, which were very popular in the mid-19th to early 20th centuries in the Western World, captivated the people with their bizarre performances. Frankenstein, the title character of the novel of the same name, was a figure of horror. Fearful and fascinated at the same time, people were able to follow how doctors electrified corpses, pulled teeth or hawked dubious miracle cures....
In TREPANATION, players become quacks of the time, presenting medical performances to the gullible public in their shows and competing for the title of the most famous charlatan.
